Judge Dredd Movie Reboot - Judge Dredd Remake

There's going to be a reboot of Judge Dredd. You may remember Sylvester Stallone's version of the super-cop. Stallone's Judge Dredd was a great movie but it wasn't very faithful to the original comic book it was based on. So it does make sense to develop a reboot. the new Judge Dredd movie will be directed by Pete Travis (who once brought us Vantage Point) based on a script by Alex Garland (who wrote the script of 28 Months Later). They intend to release Judge Dredd in 3D. Actor Karl Urban got the lead role as Judge Dredd. The film should enter production quite soon, but there's no official release date yet.

John Wagner, the creator of Judge Dredd, says the script of the new Judge Dredd movie is great:

"I have read the script (by Alex Garland) and seen Jock's visual. While I can't go into detail about the content I can say that it's high-octane, edge of the seat stuff, and gives a far truer representation of Dredd than the first movie."
